Volkswagen Vanagon (1980 -Late 1984 thru Vin # E145000) Polyurethane Sway Bar to Chassis Bushing 21mm. The easiest way to check your sway bar size is to take a 19mm wrench to it. If it fits, then your sway bar is 19mm and if it does not, you have a 21mm sway bar. This is the deep base version that fits early 21mm sway bar vans. Please see the photo above. The deep base has a distance of 14.28mm (9/16th) from the base of the bushing to the beginning of the sway bar hole and the late shallow sway bar mount has a distance of 9.5mm (3/8th).
