This brass distributor drive gear lives on the crankshaft.  It's made out of a softer metal than the distributor so it will wear rather than the distributor pinion.  Be sure to replace this at every engine rebuild. Fits all models of Vanagon...

This engine to manual transmission mounting stud screws into the engine block and goes through the transmission bell housing when the engine and trans are installed.   These studs are often damaged when the engine or transmission is removed...
