This is the genuine VW lower ball joint nut with a specialized tab style thread locker on the top.  

Fits all Vanagons 1980-1991 and Bay Window buses 1968-1979.

One per ball joint, two per van.

Please note that if you are replacing your lower ball joints, the new joints come with lock nuts but they are the more generic nyloc lock nuts.  These nuts here are the more "correct" ones but either will do the job fine.
