We had shops and multiple Vanagon owners ask us if there was a way for them to buy one tool that would work in both their 85 and older Vanagon and their 86 and newer Vanagon. Our resident tech guru put together a kit that allows you to adapt your 83-85 tool to also work in the later model Vanagon if you already own the 83-85 diagnostic tool then this kit includes the ribbon cable to attach to the computer in your 86-91 Vanagon and diagnose both vehicles.
