With increasing altitude, the air available to the heater for combustion gets thinner.  To ensure the propane gas isburned efficiently and safely, the amount of combustion air has to vary. The Whale Heat Air adjusts the combustion air to propane gas ratio automatically, also taking into consideration any associated current draw on the battery to ensure the best possible comfort experience for the user.
