This is the style that does not accept boots but has the double lip seal that keeps dirt out and grease in. It is used as the front bushing near the gas tank in all water cooled gas models (the one in that location tends to not wear as much) as well as used in the rear in most watercooled models. In some models they run a different bushing that accepts the two boots, but even if your model came with that style, this style can be used in its place (in other words it is fine to use this version in every water cooled gas model in the rear).

Once upon a time, we sold a version of this bushing made in Delrin which is much harder than the factory style bushing. We have since heard reports from repair shops and customers that the Delrin bushing transmits/amplify transmission noise through the selector shaft and thus, we prefer to sell the softer factory style bushing.
