For those intrepid adventurers that like to camp high, Van Cafe is proud to offer the Propex Heater High Altitude Modification Service.

Much like when you climb a mountain, combustion heaters need to breathe a little harder at elevation.  With the proprietary modifications we perform in-house, your Propex will run reliably at 9,000… 10,000… 11,000 feet, meaning you’ll have clean, dry heat when you need it most.

For only $69.95, you can send us your heater, we'll work our magic, and then ship it back to you.  If you plan to regularly camp at elevations higher than 7,500 feet (2286 meters), we recommend our high altitude service.

Notes:

  • We'll only need the heater unit itself to perform the high altitude modifications.  You don't need to uninstall the ducting, combustion piping, wiring harnesses, or thermostat.
  • You'll see some shipping at order checkout.  This covers the return of your heater to you from the Van Cafe warehouse.
  • Please pack your heater unit carefully!  We cannot be responsible for shipping damage to inbound heaters.
