Designed to deflect exhaust heat from the plastic timing cover and belts of your Vanagon mounted Subaru engine, our shield is precisely cut and formed for maximum rigidity and strength. Our unique design utilizes the timing belt cover bolt threads to mount the shield at the optimum distance from both exhaust components and motor. Our heat shield has more than 100,000 miles of onroad testing and has proven itself time and time again.

The torque specs on the standoffs of our heat shield kit are extremely important as overtorquing will cause premature failure. Please follow installation instructions precisely when installing the shield. You must use a torque wrench on this installation.
