What is the Van Cafe warranty policy?
General Warranty Policy
Van Cafe will warranty items for one year from the purchase date. Van Cafe/RMW manufactured items are covered for two years or 24,000 miles, whichever occurs first, and are covered for manufacture defect only.
This warranty does NOT cover products that are lost, stolen, broken, or damaged during install.
A refund or replacement will NOT be given until the full warranty claim has been processed by Van Cafe. Please note: Warranty claims can take an extended period of time to process completely. If you need an immediate resolution you will be required to purchase a new product at full price and if applicable receive credit for your original claim.
Warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Due to the nature or powder coating finishes it will not be covered under warranty. Our liability will not exceed the amount of the initial sale and does not cover labor cost, incidental cost, any physical injuries or property damage, loss of time, loss of vehicle use, any freight charges, any rental vehicle charges, towing charges, and accommodation required as a result of the failure of the defective part.
Van Cafe has the right to decline any warranty claim.
Bosch Starter Warranty Policy
Bosch rebuilt starters and alternators are covered by the Bosch warranty of 12 months or 12,000, whichever occurs first. If installed by a professional shop, you must include a copy of the work order that shows the installation date. If you are installing these Bosch items yourself, please log the date of installation. Failure to do so will void the warranty. Bosch items not installed within one year of purchase void the warranty.
Electrical
Electrical components are non-refundable & non-exchangeable. This includes electronics, switches, bulbs, and other analog electrical items. If you have a failure of an electrical item within one year of purchase, please request an RMA number by following the procedures below. All electrical items returned will be tested by Van Cafe. If we find the item defective, we will replace it at no cost. If the item is functioning correctly, we will ship it back to you and charge you the shipping cost.
Email your warranty claim to us at support@vancafe.com and include the following:
- A copy of your invoice
- Picture(s) of the item
- If this was installed by a professional shop, a copy of the repair order.
- An explanation or symptoms on how the item failed.
Once you email is received, we will review your request and start the process from there.
How do I submit a warranty request?
If for any reason you need to request a return or a warranty claim for an item on your order, all you need to do is email us at support@vancafe.com with pictures of the item and invoice that you received in the box. We will then review your request and start the process from there. ALL returns/warranty claims will be started by email.
