This seal fits in the channel on the body around the engine compartment that the engine lid seals against. It keeps road dirt and engine and exhaust vapors out of the interior of the vehicle.

FITMENT NOTE: This batch of seals may fit tight in the channel but they will work for all applications.

To Install:

• Remove old seal and all remnant adhesive from the channel.
• Run a thin line of weatherstrip adhesive in the center of the channel.
• Insert the seal taking care not to smear the adhesive in the inside of the van floor.
• Press and firmly tuck the seal into the channel all around the opening.
• Line up the engine lid in the forward body slots and let it rest on the new seal.  
• Apply firm downward pressure on the lid (especially near the latch) and turn each latch into the locked position.
• The engine lid will be firm and tight until the seal relaxes which may take some time.
