This CV joint kit is the best quality on the market made by Lobro/GKN in Germany. Don't settle on the inferior cv joints on the market - this is one area it doesn't pay to skimp on quality.
Fits all rear axles for all 1980-1991 models including Syncro.
This CV joint kit contains:
- (1) German CV joint
- (6) 12-point CV bolts
- (1) Packet CV grease
- (1) Circlip
- (1) Washer
- (1) CV boot
- (1) CV Boot Clamp
NOTES:
- The inner race of the joint has a beveled (chamfered) edge that faces the center of the axle. Make sure you orient the joint correctly for ease of installation.
- CV joint kits usually come with a concave washer which is not used on the Vanagon.

- In our opinion, Lobro/GKN makes the best stock boot on the market, but we recommend upgrading to the stronger Rockford Boot Complete CV Joint Kit.
*Please note that the GKN/Lobro CV joints will not fit the Chinese axles on the market.*
Note: As stated in the Bentley factory service manual (page 42.8), your CV joints will need to be installed onto these axles with a press and a bit of anti-seize. New axles are machined to exacting tolerances and are a tight interference fit with the joint. Please be prepared for this step of the installation. Trying to pound them on will only lead to much frustration!
