This window installation tool will make installing your windows on your Vanagon a much easier task!

Window rubber installation is easier than you think:

• Slice the old rubber inside and out so that you simply have to press on the window to remove it.  Make sure you have someone to catch it from the outside!
• Put the new rubber on the window with the seam at the upper center of the window opening
• Insert the string of this tool in the outer groove of the rubber
• Lube up the rubber well with dish soap or simple green
• Center the glass and rubber in the window opening
• Ask your friend to put her beer down so that she can apply pressure to the outside of the glass with both hands while you pull the string from the inside of the van.  Pulling the string flips the outer lip of the seal over the pinch weld in the window opening.
• Go slowly and make sure the glass is centered.
