Excellent quality upper ball joint.  Fits all Vanagons, 1980-1991. 

A side effect of your Vanagon's excellent turning radius is that stress is put on the ball joint boots as they rotate back and forth. The upper ball joint boots tear (lowers are much less likely to do so), causing dirt and water to get into the ball joint and wear.  Symptoms of a bad joint are squeaks and excessive play.

Fortunately, the upper joints wear the most frequently and are a simple bolt-in procedure to replace.  The lower ball joints require significantly deeper labor to remove.

Two new bolts per ball joint are included.
