This nipple is bolted on the 2.1L cylinder head near cylinder #2 (passenger side towards the rear) and the 7mm hose comes off of it and up to the coolant rail that runs around the perimeter of the engine compartment.

This is a genuine VW metal update of the original plastic version. The plastic ones warp and leak so VW updated these to a metal unit.
