Just like the VW originals, these wiper arms don't come with splines already cut in the mounting holes. Once you bolt them down for the first time, the grooves in wiper pivots create grooves in the wiper to secure it in place. Before installing, carefully clean the grooves in the pivot with a fine pick. Be gentle with the pivot because if it breaks, it is a very time-consuming affiar to replace it.

Fitment notes:

• The straight part of the arm may need to be bent slightly toward the windshield in order for the blade to put ample pressure on the windshield glass.
• Fits all years and models 1980-91  LEFT HAND DRIVE VANAGONS.
• Due to the soft metal of the arms, stress from trying to wipe a snow load or wiper operation when the blades are frozen to the windshield has caused the arm mounting points to break.  We therefore cannot warranty these arms due to this potential for misuse.
