Replacing a leaky or clogged front heater core in your Vanagon is no joke.  You must pull the entire dash to access the heater box which takes eight to ten hours of labor.  This is definitely a do-it-once, do-it-right kind of job!

Fits all watercooled Vanagons including diesel.

Contents:

• Front heater core and insulating foam
• Heater fan - we recommend replacing the fan each time you pull the dash
• Fan resistor - controls the fan speed and lives within the guts of the dash
• Heater core feed hose - feeds from the hot engine coolant
• Heater core return hose - returns toward the water pump
• Heater box clips - required to reseal your heater box
• Four new hose clamps to attach hoses and heater core

Not Included But Recommended:

• Heater Control Valve Cable
• Fan Speed Switch - Front or Rear
• Fresh Air & Heater Control Lever

Note: You will receive insulating foam with your kit that is intended to go around the edge of the heater core to seal it in the box.  Simply remove the paper backing and stick to the outside of the core.  Take a look at the photo above for reference.
