Many technical improvements have ensured that the F45S is the best bang for the buck. The Fiamma F45S awning features a sleeker, more compact body, with a low profile all metal end cap (as opposed to plastic) that houses a re-designed crank system that is more durable and smoother to operate. This efficient system allows one person to quickly deploy and put the awning away using the crank handle, unlike other awnings that can be tedious to unroll and roll back up and usually need at least two people to deploy and put away smoothly.

BRACKET OPTIONS:

We proudly offer Rocky Mountain Westy fabricated brackets to mount this awning on VW Vanagons. They require no drilling into the vehicle's body but require drilling into both the awning and the bracket to attach the awning. Hardware and instructions included. For the 8-foot model, we recommend purchasing the Fiamma F45 Mounting Kit (Pair). For the 10-foot and 11-foot models, we recommend purchasing 3 Brackets Fiamma F45 Mounting Kit to mount to the van's gutter for the best security (this will give you an extra duplicate of the brackets that come in the pair kit). If you include the Rocky Mountain Westy mounting bracket with your purchase, please note that it will not fit the earlier style of rain gutter on 1980 and some 1981 thru 1984 vans. The 8-foot model extends to 6’ 6” and weighs 43lbs. The 10-foot version extends to 8’ 2” and weighs 51lbs. The 11-foot model extends to 8’ 2” and weighs 55lbs. The Fiamma F45S is the only awning with Dual Shock Absorbers that protect the awning and the vehicle in bad weather. The sturdy, compact, reinforced articulating arms have twin cables to maintain a fabric tension of up to 71lbs. Please use common sense as all awnings are not intended to be left deployed in windy conditions. Each model comes with wall mounting brackets for optional mounting on the side of the van. This feature is nice if your van is parked on a hard surface where securing the legs to the ground is not an option. Instead of searching for heavy rocks or other weight to hold down the legs and hope it works, you can slide them into the wall mounts and know your awning is secure. The awnings also come with grooves on the front bar if you want to install LED lighting (not included). Fiamma offers an aluminum rafter that keeps the fabric tensioned and eliminates water from pooling and flappy noise caused by the wind. Easy to install without damaging the awning. SHIPPING:

We highly encourage you to use a business address because not all residential addresses are easily accessible to freight trucks, and the freight companies will charge more for residential delivery. If you use a residential address, We will contact you to get an additional payment of $100.00 after you have placed your order. There must be someone present to accept and remove the awning from the truck. Unfortunately, churches, schools, and storage units are not considered business addresses.

There will also be an option to pick up the awning from our warehouse at no cost. This is a website feature that we cannot turn off for this product. If you use this option, we will be forced to contact you and collect the shipping cost whether you pick the awning up from us or not.
