Let's face it: using a plastic coolant reservoir with the plastic threaded level sensor and cap was not one of VW's greatest ideas. None of the aftermarket tanks are high quality but if you do choose this plastic replacement tank, please be aware of the risk of being stranded on the side of the road.
We highly encourage you to go with the Van Cafe Aluminum Expansion tank!
