This engine case stud threads into the case on one end and secures the cylinder head on the other.

There are three lengths of engine case studs in the cases of 1.9L and 2.1L Vanagon engines:  175mm, 222mm, and this 191mm.  This stud is in the upper outer locations of the case.

There are four of these studs per engine.

Note:  These are studs bought from VW Germany. Please note that these lower studs do not have the typical machine marks on the main body of the stud. We still feel confident in them since they are made by original equipment manufacturer for VW and have VW seal of approval.
