This gasket seals the coolant elbow flange that bolts to the engines of 1.9L & 2.1L watercooled Vanagons.  The elbow bolts to the block near the #2 cylinder and heads toward the water pump.

Note:  On 2.1Ltr the flanged elbows were originally plastic and this gasket fits the metal replacement units that are now on most Vanagons. On 1.9Ltr the flanged elbows were always metal from the start.
