Overland Expo Mountain West 2025 was a big one for us to join this year, and we had a blast connecting with so many fellow van and overland enthusiasts.
Van Cafe rolled in with our trusty ever-popular Rocky Mountain Westy in-house Vanagon upgrades on a 1980 Westy we’re known for. Our booth became a hub for conversations about keeping these beloved vans on the road with high-quality parts, thoughtful upgrades, and solutions made by people who live and breathe the Vanagon lifestyle. Always fun swapping stories and catching up!

We were also proud to represent as the only U.S. dealer for Propex Heat Source. Alongside the tried-and-true mountable propane heaters, this year we unveiled something brand new: the PS2000 Portable Suitcase Heater — designed and fabricated right in-house in collaboration with UK built Propex Heaters. At just under 40 lbs, this heater drew a lot of attention (and questions!). Expo-goers were especially excited about a propane-based solution for high-altitude heating that doesn’t rely on smelly, finicky diesel systems.

Another highlight was teaming up with our friends at Hiker Trailers and Space Trailers. These lightweight, versatile trailers are a perfect entry point for anyone starting their overlanding journey — and, for many, the beginning of what quickly becomes a full-blown obsession.

We left the weekend feeling energized and grateful to be part of such a passionate community. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to chat, share stories, and check out what’s new at Van Cafe. Until next time - see you out on the road!
