The accelerator pedal linkage rod connects the pedal to the throttle linkage in 1980-91 Vanagons with manual transmissions.   

Fitment note:  Slight sanding or grinding may be required to get this rod to fit into your pivot.

Although the end does wear with age and use, please keep in mind that this piece does just slip into a hole on the pivot piece below the floor and then just snaps into the bottom side of the pedal. Sometimes it just pops out due to the pedal being pulled up too high and is misdiagnosed as being the culprit when you only need to snap it back in place. We do offer it as they do at times wear out and become prone to popping out.
