944 CV Joint Kits All Rear And Syncro Front Inner with Rockford Boot
944 CV Joint Kits All Rear And Syncro Front Inner with Rockford Boot
German 944 CV joints are the number one solution for vans with higher than stock suspension. With a greater range of motion, these retain the suspension angles for allowing your van to navigate rough terrain without CV joint binding.
This fits CV kit fits rear axle all vans, including Syncro. It also fits the Syncro front inner position but we would encourage you to purchase six new longer CV bolts that are specific to this Syncro application. You can find Syncro Front Inner CV Bolts here.
This kit is for one joint kit. You will need (4) of these joints to replace all the joints on your rear axles.
This kit contains:
- (1) German 944 cv joint
- (1) Premium Rockford heavy duty CV boot
- (6) New CV Bolts
- (3) New CV side plates
- (1) New CV circlip
- (1) 80oz packet of high quality CV grease
If you need the serrated washers, please click here.
If you need the 12-point Socket 3/8th Drive Tool, please click it out here.
If you wish to use the high performance Redline grease, please click here.
Fitment Notes:
- GKN/Lobro CV joints will not fit the many Chinese axles on the market.
- As stated in the Bentley factory service manual (page 42.8), your CV joints will need to be installed onto these axles with a press and a bit of anti-seize. New axles are machined to exacting tolerances and are a tight interference fit with the joint. Please be prepared for this step of the installation. Trying to pound them on will only lead to much frustration!
- When we order the CV joints, they are ordered as a kit. As such, they come with the stock CV joint boot. In the past, we have removed the stock boot and replaced them with the Rockford boot. We will no longer practice this, and you will receive two sets of boots. Please compare the two different boots. You will be quite satisfied with the extra money that you spent. What to do with the stock boots? Either keep them as spares or give them to your less fortunate friend who does not have the Rockford boot on their van.
